Jackson,

Will any of these photos be published? If not, they should be!

What lens were using for the skiing competition?

I have had a few things published and some stuff on http://www.fasterskier.com/index.php. I use a 80-200mm f/2.8 most of the time, really sharp and great bokeh.

I just bought the same 80-200 f/2.8 lens and it came highly recommended by every photojournalist I've talked to. After hearing Rich speak and talking to a commercial photographer, the 12-24 looks good too.

When shooting sports/action photos, are you using the camera set on automatic, shutter priority, etc?

Do you usually have the fastest F-stop selected (2.8)?

I keep it around f/4 and shoot in manual when its content light. Snow makes the exposure a little funky. I under expose just a bit. When the sun is moving in and out or the trail has patches of shadows and light I shoot on aperture priority, then fix in Raw.
