I learned some new Photoshop tricks at SPE, and played with my Egg Counter image from senior... which do you prefer? The top image is the newest version, and the bottom is before tweaking it.
I think the top one is better because it brought your highlights down... the table and the eggs feel too bright compared to him and the background in the bottom one
I think the top image works the best. I like how the shadows and lighting makes the environment more dynamic and dramatic. It fits the subject well. He is a bit eery rather than academic and the contrast and darkness makes that show. The lighting on the back wall looks a little uneven but it's probably fine.

what era is it in? seems like it should be candle lit and have orangish warm light
