{I'm ALIVE}

Hello Everyone! I hope ya'll are enjoying your summer. I'm smack dab in the middle of wedding season, so this summer has been pretty crazy so far. I've also been working full time for Lauren Brown Photography and Larry Stanley. They have a studio @ 627 E. Peach St. if anyone ever wants to come say hi and check out the studio. There is also Classic Ink (Graphic Design), Chisel (Video Production), MNKY (Motion Graphics), and Jereco (Sound Production) all in the same building, so it's one big artsy fartsy group :) I was in Helena recently to visit family, and I snapped these shots of my boyfriends niece and nephew. I thought they were really cute and I wanted to share them. When things slow down, I will post some of my wedding and portrait work from the summer! Cheers!!!

Curse of the Black Gold

Watch this amazing photo essay of oil in the Niger Delta with images by Ed Kashi. Curse of the Black Gold

More band stuff

Here's a couple pictures from this past weekend. The top one is of Goodnight Sunrise and the bottom is Goodnight Sunrise with their tour mates from Sacramento, Bidwell. I took these at Star Lanes in Butte on the mini golf course with two Alien Bee 1600s, with with a beauty dish and a brolly box... and a bubble machine and fog machine. Good times.

Mountain Biking

This shot is part of a current project that I am working on. I have been doing some similar work for the past couple weeks in northern Wisconsin on some of the 100s of miles of singletrack trails. Hopefully more shots will follow.

First Shots With My New (to me) Wista 4x5

I photographed my Mom and Dad in Las Vegas last week, for the first time. The other is my girlfriend, Jenny, in our yard yesterday. I used a Wista 4x5 that I bought from Kyle Bajakian that he bought from a Zen monk.

Zak is alive...

So what's everyone been up to this summer? Here are a couple things I did for fun. The first is Stu of course, and the others are of a band from Sacramento called Bidwell. Their publicity photographer is incredible, and lives in LA and we've decided to become best friends when I move next month. Oh yeah, I leave August 11th for Los Angeles. So if any of you want to come visit, you have a couch to crash!

I found Claire!

Greetings from the Maine Media Workshops where Claire is interning this summer. I found her hard at work in the labs. Its super nice here, with lots of crazy people running around working on films and photo stuff. Dan Burkholder is giving a workshop in Claire's lab right now! I am about to go to Timothy Whelan's photography bookstore, the only bookstore in the country that sells all photo books.
