Utensils of Beauty...?

Okay so I'm kind of having my own mini-crisis that I need to work out when it comes to the project. Here's some progress so far, I know I should push it more but I think my view of the project wasn't displayed enough.  So here's what I have so far. . .

I agree, the first one is my fav too. The third and fifth ones I don't really understand. In the others I see shaving, highlights, and eye lashes. But the other two I just don't get. I think if you use the first one you should do all of them like that. Kind of saying that to be beautiful, you must injure yourself or endure some pain.

Its supposed to show the additions of the 'utensils', so this would be the simple cover up and lotion stage, kinda hard to understand out of context probably

I still think you should go with Ian's idea. The first one fits with that idea. It is a really strong image. I can see that one next to the razor image. You are doing great.

I agree with what's been said; the 1st is your strongest by far.

Plus the second-to-last is out of focus :-o

Thanks for the feedback guys!
I just wanna reiterate the purpose of the project, its going to be an application so from the simple beauty steps ( like foundation and moisturizer) to the harsh beauty steps. I totally agree with pushing to the pain part but I want to show a progression with that. To make it my own I'm going to integrate the original with the pushed/painful factor, I think in a book layout it will help the project not get redundant and hopefully make you want to see the next page. The leg one will be towards the end... hopefully when I have more of my model shoots I can get that across to everyone. Oh and the second to last one is focused on her hair, its going to have flat hair on one side and 'teased' hair ( which destroys it) on the other side. I'll put some pages up when I get that far...Thanks!

marie obviously everyone is in agreement that the image of the leg is your strongest. and i understand you having this idea in your mind about what the final project is going to look like, and i think we all do this but you should be open to it changing. I think you are doing a great job the lighting is beautiful. But keep shooting whats working for you.

Um I am open to changing it, and I have.
