Sensor Dust

I JUST discovered some nasty sensor dust on my digi.  this is the first time i have had a problem with this.  any suggestions as to how i should take care of this. a simple cleaning kit perhaps or do i need to take it somewhere, and if so how much is it going to cost.  I hope to remedy this ASAP. i would appreciate your feedback. Thanx!

You might want to research whether or not this is really safe but I blew mine out with one of those puffer things you use for dusting negatives. Hasn't seemed to have had any bad effects.

Most DSLR's should have a sensor cleaning option in your menu which exposes the sensor. While it's open you want to use the "puffer thing" or some form of compressed air to blow some air and hopefully that will loosen and remove any dust on your sensor. Be careful not to touch the sensor in any way. Good Luck.

Be very careful of your sensor. If you clean it yourself spend the money and get a high quality static sensor brush. I would recommend taking it to Bozeman camera and let them do it. I use the brush and the chemical wipes and still have to periodically take all mine to the shop for a thorough cleaning.

I use a brush and chemical wipes from Visible Dust. They have a nice set of static brushes that are nice for pulling off loose dust and then I use a wipe with their sensor cleaner. Takes off any residue. Just have to be real careful and gentle.

A blower is nice for getting out loose dust too.
