This is Phillip Van from NYU who was a ground breaker for hatchfest this year, i shot this portrait for the photojournalism lab for hatch and it was an awesome experience
I really love this image! The desaturation works very well. The text seems large though. I would shrink it down to a single line under the image. Nice nice work!
An unsolicited thought on the text: If this is for a photojournalism lab, then you may also want to consider writing the cutline in AP style which is used by all press outlets. The form is time-date-place. So for example: "NYU filmmaker, Phillip Van, quenches his thirst late Friday night during an excursion through Heeb's Grocery in downtown Bozeman."
Great portrait Kyle. Love the straight on angle and the repetition of shape in the background. I like the way he is carrying the jugs as if they are six shooters.
