Image two from the series. He has a twin that I am tweaking named Nelson Lovejoy.

megan, i am really intrigued by these portraits. what is the idea behind the body of work? i have seen something about a fictitious family but that's as much as i know. the first image you posted (of the couple) kinda reminds me of american gothic in a strange way. could you exploit this idea of playing on the classic portrait throughout art history. i think it could add an interesting dimension to your work, even if the reference appears only through the titles of the pieces. just a thought. very nice work though, i am interested in seeing the rest of the series. by the way, did you ever get a website up and running?

I'm designing a new site that I'm going to have Camden finish for me because I'm just too busy to sit down and re-learn flash, and he's so good at it.
I like your suggestions for this project. I'm going to reshoot the first couple, because strangely enough almost all of my other models have been brunette, and therefore they aren't the most convincing patriarch and matriarch.
