Hello all, this is just a sample of the series i started this summer involving portraits and multiple exposures with a holga. This is a promising first batch and i look forward to the many more roles of film yet to develop. Let me know what you think.
The first photo is too recognizable and obvious. The last three photos work much better together. The second and fourth image have a very enigmatic feeling while the third has more emotion. The third image is also more recognizable but it connects on that sort of dark and unfamiliar aesthetic. I think the last photo works the best for me because it seems to fall in the middle with a somewhat recognizable figure, subtle color, mystery and emotion. Keep photographing!
I agree with Ty. The final photo works the best for me, and I would love to see more along those lines. The images with very recognizable figures or faces don't really do much for me. I'm looking forward to watching this develop!
hey thanx guys, i agree with you both. i posted these just kind of as a sample, definitely not as part of a cohesive body. i have so many more of these to develop and i am definitely leaning toward the more ethereal indistinct appearance. i posted the more recognizable imagery just because i relate to it since i am involved with the subjects. thanx again
