Here are my three drafts of the senior show poster...sorry Jackson the blue squares weren't working for me and I did not have anyone else images to work with, so this what I came up with. Would everyone please check for any errors or TYPOS and any other suggestions are welcome. This is going to print Tuesday, so could everyone please vote on which one they like the best!
(forgot to mention that these are drafts and need some more photoshopping on the images)

definitely the Penguin
I don't think the image of us would be a very effective poster, we want something to catch the attention of a passer-byer, which I thought these worked better for
My attention was drawn to the landscape the most. It is simple, attractive and has an element of photography. to the general public I believe it will catch more eyes. I think a group image would look like a marching band poster. Posters like that I tend to not give a moments notice.
the landscape is better photographically. The font layout is better in the first poster with the guy with red shirt. It catches the eye better.
If we are going to use your image for the poster, Zak, I would prefer the middle one.
Where is Jackson? Can we at least see the group shot?
I would also prefer all the text be easily readable...you can barely see half of the names in the one with the dude in the red shirt.
I'm confused. But since these are the options to vote on I vote Penguin. Suggestion - maybe don't split people's first and last names between lines.
Go with the second poster design Zak.
The text, layout, and image are all effective.
I also definitely agree against using a group photo.
I do want to see the group shot too. I like the second one better than the other two tho.
i like the middle one :)
I really like the second one also.
Using a group photograph just doesn't make any sense. So far none of us are at a point where our faces are reason enough to come see our work. The purpose of a poster is to interest people to come to the show... you can see students faces all over campus.
The blue landscape poster definitely stands out and is more visually appealing.
It might be good though to lighten the word "thesis" as you've done in the penguin poster.
i like the middle
Number 2...
Yes, the second poster looks good. I also agree that the word thesis should be more tonally differentiated, otherwise the words run into each other.
The second one is the best, I would agree with Ty though that peoples names should not be split if possible, and with Bayard and Ian about varying the tone on the word thesis.
The Penguin! did you know it talks? There's a button. I'm biased towards the hiline penguin but i'm not in senior so you guys have fun choosing :) Nice work!
i agree with the general consensus that the middle one is the best, but work with the text more like the last one
