Senior Poster

Ok after a successful shoot today here is the second installment with the Kate's images. I've gathered that most think the underwear is mostly out, but I have also included some less revealing shots as well that may work better than the underwear shots. I gave room on Kate's images so they are cropped right now, they can change. If Ian's images need to change they are full sized so they can only go down. Lets hear what you've got to say.

Yeah, I agree.

I do kinda miss the arm sticking out holding the release cable. :P Good job with all the compromising though Jackson!

I'm not going to be able to send a postcard with this image out to those who participated in my particular project because that just wouldn't look right, but I understand that it might fit with everyone else's projects so it's fine with me if you choose this style of image. With that said, I really think the composition of the third one is the best because his head sticks up above the horizon line and his body doesn't get lost in the scene. Kate kind of seems to get lost in the grass and trees that are so close to her. There's detail in the sky on the third one, but then again the lighting is really weird on the grass on the right side of the image in the third one. I also like that his legs are straight - like he's really focused and taking a photograph rather than posing for the camera.

Leslie, this doesn't "fit" with anyone's projects that I have seen so far. I think we are just trying to make a unique poster that will catch people's eyes. I personally like the first one the best, but I also like the middle one. I like these better than the ones taken the other day cuz of the blue sky!

Aly, I understand and I don't have a problem with using this poster at all. Perhaps "fit" was the wrong word but I was just saying that I cannot send this out to people I've photographed who have lost a loved one to suicide. It would be in poor taste for me to do that (in my opinion).

The post card isnt going to be the same as the poster. Augie has a good idea for the post cards and is working on it. He'll post something when he's got something for everyone to look at. From what I know it will be simple and can be sent to everyone so no worries.

Ah, that's great. I thought the last I heard was that there weren't any alternate ideas for a postcard. Sounds like a good plan! Thanks for all your hard work on this Jackson. I'm sure it's been a big undertaking.

i'm sorry but these images are not working for me at all:( i think that there needs to be another element in the photo. maybe do the naked thing with him/her shooting the whole senior class in the woods or in the studio taking a portrait of Wise Man. Maybe something that everyone of us has photographer- (story mill, montana hall, palisade falls, lone peak etc.... the main focus should not be the photographer but some-kind of different bigger picture. It needs a bigger idea!!!

Well, I think I may agree with Scott. Not sure how photographically interesting these images are for me.

Can I make a panoramic?

@Leslie
Just because someone has lost a loved one doesn't mean they have lost their sense of humor. Right? Your portraits are very serious-- I doubt your subjects are as somber as your pictures all the time. Have a little fun!

I'm gonna agree with scott on this one, the subject gets lost in the scene and kinda loses effect.
