dude this is sick. as far as your project goes i definitely think the human element is necessary...at least i think it is more interesting...maybe not necessarily the people interacting with the environment but rather them as a seperate, yet integral part of it. i think this rationale lends itself to the landscape idea more so than does action shots of the spaces you photograph... if, of course that is what you are going for...however this human element may add an unwanted (or wanted?) portraiture element that could detract from a landscape feeling you seem to be going for...however i think it is possible to blend the two if you are careful
I suppose I am not trying to photograph strictly the landscape of these skateparks, although if I cannot find any people at them then this might be the case. Ideally I would include portraits in every one. I just want to show that skateboarding exists everywhere, kind of like how this example shows that skateboarding exists in Uganda. My negatives should get back soon and I will upload a few.
