I was worried about that white part that Ryan mentioned. I thought it was distracting which is why I tried the crop. I tried several methods that I could think of to darken it a little in Photoshop, and none of them worked very well. Any suggestions?

I agree. The bottom has a much better sense of depth, and feels more realistic. I like it a lot.
The white in the upper left corner is somewhat distracting for me.

The white is distracting for me too... I would photoshop a sky in there, or make it more blue, so that it feels like the sky more
The upper one.... I feel that it's brighter and it draws me in better than the bottom one. Sorry for being the devil's advocate.
