This is Ruebert... and he might be the cover of the book. I am undecided about using a portrait on the cover over a landscape image. Does this image and the window make you want to open the book and look into it?
I agree with camden. If the background is going to be blown out, the person needs to look less washed out. I am not sure I would pick this one for the cover.
hmmm, interesting that you guys dont think it fits. I shot this image with E-100 and the background was about 6 stops brighter than the shade that he was in, so not much detail in the background but I can try and darken it a little. And he is really washed out because the window was so dirty. Thanks for the input
That IS a Seinfeld shirt, and I can totally see this as a cover shot. This image is very voyeuristic--like I'm looking through a keyhole. It makes me want to open the book.
Whether or not the inside images will follow the cover image, I'm not sure. But I think that a couple of hours in Photoshop could bring some great things out of this negative.
Haha I am glad someone noticed the shirt... This was shot from the inside of his house looking outside, and I wanted the juxtaposition of me inside looking out at him, especially when there is pretty stickers on the window that totally contradict his personality. Thanks again for the feedback... I will consider the cover shot somemore

Depends...what's the book about?
I really like the image, although the view through the window could be darkened a bit.

I find this picture to be interesting.... a bit creepy but it definitely draws in my attention.
However- seeing your other images I dont feel like this image would be a good fit for your book. It has a completely different feeling and affect.

i love the relationship between this rough looking guy and the heart stickers on the window. and i agree, not a cover image.
Is he wearing a seinfeld t-shirt?
