Advanced B&W Final

These are the first images I've developed for my 264 Final. I'm attempting to explore the idea of what sexy can be by posing my models in suggestive and provocative ways but in oversized, "comfortable" attire instead of skin tight tank tops or their underwear. Please let my know what you think.

I like the concept. I think that there is a lot to be said about sex and if we really need the sexy clothes or if we can be attractive in a right out of bed look. I am however confused about the choice of background, not sure why they are in a yard. I would also watch your crop very closely. Feet can be sexy, i would like to see them a little farther away from the edge.

You are going to laugh but it might me beneficial for you to get a Men's magazine and look at the poses they take in those and mimic them, just do it with your clothing choices.

I also don't understand why these are outdoors, especially after reading about your concept...indoors seems more logical to me. But you obviously put her there for a reason. I'm curious what it was.

I love the third image, though I very much get more of a 'female boxer' feeling from it than a sexed up woman. The pose seems more athletic/edgy than come hither. Good exposure on that one, too.

I agree with Jackson, I think the poses with altered clothing would draw a little better correlation to what you are trying to say if I'm understanding your project. Another thing I'm noticing is that the girls look pretty awkward and uncomfortable, so either the setting needs to change so they feel different, or you need to work with them and make sure the girls don't look like they are being trapped in front of the camera.

cool concept however i don't think they are being pulled off technically. are you using lighting? if not it is a must. the girls need to pop more and stand out from the background, also i feel like some of the images are a little flat. maybe change the time of day you are shooting or try to change the scene in order to maximize dramatic lighting

Seems like you have plenty of comments on the concept, so technically, these need some work. I agree with Jace, the lighting needs work. They seem flat. Also, why are they all cropped to different sizes? On a side note, the images are almost too small here to see them very well. Try making the images a bit larger for the blog. Hope that helps!

I love the ones where you are eye level or just below the girls. I agree with jackson on the idea of getting a mens magazine and copying the poses. I would just stress the implication of where you shoot from. Shooting from below to make the women more dominant. Shoot from above to make them passive. so on and so on. So much is said just by where you shoot from. We are seeing the women as you show them to us. aka how you see them. So, maybe plan the image around how you see these women. In the lighting I agree with jace.
