Here's one I liked from my shoot today with Mariel and Marita. They are from Norway, and like everyone else in this town want to be on Gossip Girl... I've never seen the show.
where are you getting all these foreign people? There was a princess or something from Austria and now these girls from Norway. Are you ordering them off the inter-web?
Haha I have no clue. Sometimes in LA I feel like I am the only one who was born in this country. Tomorrow I'm photographing an American girl, but next week one of the girls is British. Go figure.
Hey Megan...what do you use for lighting? Also, how are you getting your clients? In other words, how are you marketing yourself and how are people finding out about you?
If any of you are planning on moving out here I suggest getting a ModelMayhem.com account. I met the makeup artist I'm working with on the site. It's also a good way to find models. As for lighting I have 2 1600 and 2 800 Alien Bees. I use the 1600s all the time and use the 800s for fill as needed. These were lit with a 30x60 softbox on the left and a beauty dish on the right with a middle 800 fill just to the right of the camera.
