This really isn't a new idea. I've lost count of how many of these videos I've seen interviewing someone about their "unique" approach to photography.
A quick google search will bring up all sorts of instances of folks turning their vans/trucks/etc. into pinhole cameras over the last few years. Here are a few:

yeah a pin hole would be awesome. i wonder how many gallons of developer and fixer he goes threw each week.
