Four Corners, MT

These are raw 4x5 color negative film scans from a project I started working on in April 2009.  I am documenting Four Corners, Montana which sits approximately eight miles south of the Bozeman city center.  I find this place particularly interesting due to the vast array of unique businesses, business owners, and community members.  The Gallatin Valley spreads over 2,500 square miles with Bozeman being the densest conglomeration of citizens, but relying on the many hardworking residents commuting from one of the outlying communities like Four Corners, which seem to be a large part of the adhesive that hold the Bozeman municipal together as a whole. There are more images and information posted on my blog.

I like the guy and his door too. Did you adjust the color on the last three? I like the sky a lot more in those ones-- the portraits don't pop at me as much...

You're doin it dood!!

Thanks for the feedback folks. The bottom three landscapes were processed by Randall and taken on a much nicer day so they look a little different. I like the more bleak skies in the portraits because it helps emphasize the sometimes arduous living conditions at Four Corners.
