Not a magazine I would pick to reproduce, but I hate cats. Other than that the only criticism I really have is that you need more separation from your background. Most animal magazines use really shallow depth of field or a solid color background. Your text layout is a lot better than most of the trys at graphic design I've seen in this department. All in all it looks like you did a good job picking a magazine that you could reproduce.
This is a mock magazine cover I did for Nonfiction. I just wanted to get some opinions on it from people outside that class.

Britni likes cats and likes to take pictures of them. I bet you could do an entire project on all the stray cats that you photographed in Italy.
