Jack and the Beanstalk
These are some preliminary images for my book project for Advanced digital, I am just looking for some feedback. I am portraying fairy tales with legos. This is one from my Jack and the Beanstalk series. I hope to have 8 to 10 per story and do about 4 stories in the book. On these images specifically, I was wondering whether the vertical or horizontal works better, is the background ok as just white/grey or should I add color and depth, and what do you think of the image overall?
Ian I'm buying you this cat...

Parking Lot, MSU
I am a Blogger failure. This is the second time I have tried to post this so if my post comes twice, I apologize. Anyway, what I said is, you know those cute little ducks at the MSU duck pond? This one found its way to the Roske parking lot. It is a tricolor gum bichromate over cyanotype, about 13x19.

More band work
If you're in a band, don't smoke pot before the photographer shows up to do promos. (see long haired drummer) I photographed Gundown at Sundown in the green room of the Zebra a couple weeks ago. I used my ring flash disconnected from the camera and bounced it off the ceiling. We were supposed to shoot in the studio but they showed up 2 hours late... neat.

Unwanted Sickness
Im working on a article for Non-fiction about being sick. I chose this image for the cover of my article and I was wondering some things. It the focus on the tissues distracting? The images was not suppose to be of the person so I chose to keep them in the background. Its more about being sick and the feeling of laying in bed suffering through it. Should I change it. Then the next question is, keep the exposure dark. I use the AlienBees to fill and make the light look like its naturally coming in the window behind the subject. I feel like the image should be dark. you don't sleep with the lights on, but it does look under exposed. Any other thought would help too. Thanks

Innova Fiber Paper
Epson Fiber Base Paper
Check out this somewhat new very expensive fiber base paper from Epson. It is meant to look like traditional fiber base paper with an apparently even higher D-Max. A couple of other manufacturers are starting to get in on the same game. hopefully the price will come down. The paper is meant to be used with Photo Black and K3 inkset.

LiveBooks|Edu
Hello everyone. I know many of you already have your own website but for those of you who do not I want to make you aware of a program called livebooks|edu through Livebooks inc. Livebooks is a company that provides websites for photographers. Basically, the program gives college students and educators the chance to have a livebooks site at a much lower cost. ($99/year) Livebooks sites are clean and professional looking while the software that you will use to create and edit your website is super easy to use. I have added a few links to photographers who have livebooks sites as well as the link to the program website and my personal site so you can get a general idea of what yours would look like. If anyone wants more info on this you can send me an email (ryan@ryankruegerphotography.com) or talk to me at school, I am the student ambassador for MSU. You can also use my promotional code (11478) to try it out for a month and then cancel if you decide it isn't what you want. Or even if you're just curious. They also encourage others such as art students, etc. (anyone with an image based website) to take advantage of this so let people know if you think they could benefit.
