103 Pictures

I just finished scanning some photographs from my 103 class. The class consists of students from all over campus, with a couple of photo majors. Here are a few that stood out to me.

These two photos I took in hopes to figure out where I wanted to go with this portrait project. With the further away shots I think I'll change and shoot color, more like the janitor and crossing guard images. With the closer ones I'll keep the same aesthetic.

These are the images from my short book for 260. I am confident in them technically, but am wondering whether i got across the statement i was trying to make about the dominance electronics have in our modern lives. I would love some feedback!

Undergraduate Art Show

The art dept. has conspicuously (again) neglected to post the call for entries in our building. In the past, our department has been very well represented in this show. Anyway, I just heard that the deadline came and passed a few days ago. A day in the real world

The MTA 342 students were working professionals today. They shot advertising photos for a local motorcycle dealer and did a tremendous job. The client was very pleased and the team got some valuable professional experience. Here are some photos from the day.

Fun with the Hasselblad

I took these while wandering around downtown this weekend. Thought they were kind of fun so I decided to share them. I'm considering including a few of these images (and possibly future medium format images) in my Roadside Distractions project but I'm not sure they'll fit in with the large format aspect...my purist side wants to keep it restricted to large format, but a few of these would fit in nicely. Thoughts?
