Nashville Airport

These two checked out the exhibit on their own.

I took this in the Nashville airport on Monday. Everyone passed right by the photo exhibit until I went over to look at the exhibit myself. As soon as I did that, I had about 8 people standing around me, also looking up at the exhibit. It made me want to go stare at other stuff on the wall to see if I could get people to stop and see what was so interesting. :)

Camden why are all my titles in Arabic?! I still can't fix it. Anyhoo, Monday night I had the opportunity to photograph Fear Before (formerly Fear Before the March of Flames) for their new album. Not sure if they are going to use these, but it would be pretty huge and great if they did. They will be playing in Bozeman at the Sub on the 27th so you should all check out their show with I am the Ocean, Exotic Animal Petting Zoo, and This Word is Weapon. But remember your earplugs because it will be brutal. I'll be there too! They put on a pretty incredible live show, which I've seen three times this week. These are just my three favorites from the shoot. More in my blog

Food Bank Volunteer

This is Dan, a volunteer at the Gallatin Valley Food Bank. He originally started volunteering there to fulfill community service requirements for a DUI. He fulfilled those requirements within a month, and that was over a year ago. He says he continues to volunteer because he likes helping others. He also feels like he been given an undeserved second chance to live a productive life and as a result, he wants to show his gratitude by giving back to others. I was very happy to give him these photographs so he can share them with his children who don't live with him. Which image do you think is the most successful as an environmental portrait?

Volunteers

I'm working on a project that involves photographing volunteers from different organizations around Bozeman. I photographed these women at the Senior Center. They volunteer for the RSVP (Retired Senior Volunteer Program) by making "hand crafts" to sell at the Farmer's Market. The profits are donated and are used for various causes. I wasn't sure which photo of the second woman is better. I think I like the one where she's not looking at the camera. What do you think? Any other comments?
