This is a great video for showing just how involved sports photography can be. You need a lot of skills beyond photography. Some notable points in the video:
Concentrate on your work and don't worry about what other people are doing.
Follow the rules of the venue or you risk being ejected.
Think about the big picture of storytelling of the event. Don't get hung up on one great shot.
Another thing I will add is the topic of humility. One of the photographers in the video, Lucy, is one of the most humble people I've ever met, yet she's one of the greatest sports shooters ever.
