"The New Aesthetic"

Here is an interesting essay on "The New Aesthetic", which is a rising interest in digital imagery and "seeing like digital devices". The article suggests "The New Aesthetic" has great potential at expressing new ideas relevant to contemporary culture, but lacks a coherency that would solidify it as an artistic movement. As someone who is torn between settling on chemically-based photographic processes and converting to digital, I think it could be worthwhile to read for who are those interested in the potential of digital/digtial-inspired artwork.  Here is another link that discusses it, and a tumblr site with more links.
