I hope everyone is having a great summer so far. So I went out and started photographing last night literally right before that huge thunderstorm that swept the mid-Atlantic area, and I got this Jem with the 4x5 with fujiroid film.
Also, I have a new(ish) blog its gwendolynandthephotoshow.tumblr.com , I know its tumblr but its a start!

Say what? Iris camera!?
This is a photo of an eye tracking camera developed by Royal College of Art graduate Mimi Zou. I'm not sure what to think about it, but it seems legit.

FEEDBACK PLEASE!
So long story short, I am remaking my Khwisero book and because I am, there is an opportunity to change the cover image. I used the bottom image for the first edition, but am curious if people think the other one might be better.
What do you think?

Yellowcard
I was recently hired by Hopeless Records to photograph Yellowcard's new press photos. When I was 18 they were one of my favorite bands, and were part of my constant darkroom playlist while I was in the photo program at MSU. Wanted to share one of the photos that they recently released. It was a pretty rad experience working with them!

Mordancage Workshop
Hey all, I just got back from turkey, haven't developed the film yet, but I took a bunch of photos. Anyway, a couple of months ago I randomly sent Elizabeth Opalenik! an email asking her if she needed a TA for an upcoming mordancage workshop she was instructing at the F295 symposium. After many emails and a conversation she decided to take me on. It was an amazing experience and I learned so much about the process from the master herself. I just thought I would share as a reminder that sometimes a shot in the dark actually works out. In other words, send those random emails to famous photographers, it just might turn into an invaluable experience. Also, I am moving to SAN FRANCISCO in August, I will be passing through town on my way, but if you guys are ever in the bay just get a hold of me and you will have a place to crash.

Websites and such!
Hi all! It's been a while. Just wanted to stop in and let you know that my website went through a pretty intense redesign, and is now www.meganthompson.com.
Also if any of you new graduates are in the market for a new website, don't hesitate to hit up my friend Ryan Jay. He's based in Florida, and is very affordable. He designed my site from scratch and it's very easy to update on my own.
www.ryanjay.com
Hope you're all having a good spring and getting ready for busy summers! If any of you are ever in LA don't hesitate to give me a call for coffee or a trip to the brewery.
