Great Geyser in Yellowstone

So Donna and I ventured into Yellowstone yesterday and last night.  Here's one of my favorite images from the sleepless night. Taken at Great Geyser at 3:30ish AM, 5D Mark II, 16-35L 2.8, 2 secs, f/2.8, ISO 200.  More pictures from the day (and night) at my blog.

I like the shot quite a bit, but I think that (even creatively) it is way too underexposed...

I didn't attempt to "creatively" under expose this shot. It's at night time. that's a full moon in the background. A two second exposure. My ISO was set a bit above 200 now that I go back and look at the metadata. It's actually not an underexposed image at all.

um I am seeing detail out the wazzoo...!

really like it, Aly. and that's saying something for such an outrageously over-photographed event.

keep up with the night stuff, I see you getting better and better!
