A Blog Post on Getting More Accurate Color
Hi guys. Any of you use the X-Rite Color Checker Passport? It's a great tool to use in studio type situations for awesomely accurate color results. Here's a blog post I wrote about using it for a headshot. I geared this post mostly towards non-photographers with reasons why professionals are a better option for high-quality color prints. Check it out if you're interested. Thanks!

Nikon AF ED 80-200 f2.8 zoom lens
I am selling a Nikon AF ED 80-200 f2.8 zoom lens. This is a great, versatile autofocus/manual focus telephoto zoom with outstanding optical design that works on all Nikon cameras, except the D40, D40x, and D60. This is a full frame lens but will also work on DX sensor cameras. It is a push-pull zoom with the same ring for focusing and zooming. The glass is perfect with no scratches, smudges or abrasions anywhere. The exterior does show some wear, but aside from that, the lens is in great shape. I'm asking $400. Job + Ski Pass
I just saw this ad posted on Craigslist up at Big Sky. Sounds like a decent opp for a local grad, who likes to ski and is outgoing (sales). A free pass and full-time employment with a camera.... a career start that could pay the bills.

Black Dots
I photographed this last fall and finally got around to scanning it in. Does anyone know what these black dots are? I'm pretty sure it's because I used old chemicals (I developed this roll just before the fall semester actually started, so Charlie let me use the chemicals to develop with before he dumped them). Anyone experience this?

Another video flipthru
Work by Marco Onofri. What I think is interesting is the consistent use of both black and white and color images. Typically I am not a fan of the two together, but I think they compliment each-other in this series.

Flatiron
When Chris, Max, Aly, Steph, and I got to the flatiron we started looking for the spot Stieglitz took his photo from. We actually had some success. It is now in what is the dog sh** area of the park.
Stieglitz's photo was taken about (I am assuming) 10-20 feet behind me (this photo) with a 4x5 and a longer lens. It was not possible for me to stand in that spot, as there are new trees everywhere. This tree is not the same tree, but it looked similar enough for me to shoot the photo in this spot instead. It resembles Alfred Stieglitz's rather well, considering I am using a cell phone.

New work
Just got around to scanning some new work that I began photographing this fall. Not sure what direction it will go in, but they generally seem to be somber interior photographs of occupied houses. I am interested in the difference between a house and a home.
also be sure to watch my blog as I will be posting more work on there as I scan it.

Magenta Foundation
I would highly recommend submitting to this. Mega resume line if you get in the show. Be warned though, highly fine art, I would not submit anything that could be remotely seen as anything else. Tough competition, but if accepted you are in a league with some amazing artists.

Photography, Video, Music rolled into one.
Hey all. If you were under the impression Mulitmedia is not up and coming, well you were wrong! I have been in the process of making little flipthrus for the Indie Photobook Library. Here is the first with many more to come! (ps If you dont know much about film/video editing I would learn as much as possible before you graduate. This simple video ruined my life for a while, haha)
