Sticking to Your "Photographic Ego"

I came across this blog post this morning and I really like what it says about finding your style. The blog post points out that we need to be open to criticism (especially when starting out), but then we also need to stick to our guns so to speak when we are at a point where can begin to define our style - as long as we can defend what we're doing and why we're doing it that way.
