this is of course before the processes i am going to add but i just thought that i would see how you guys felt about the subject matter. I am going for that more antiquated snapshotty feel.
Also seeing the two sets of foot steps in the snow makes me question two things, does jesus walk beside her or did she just get in a fight with a lover? If it was the fight why not more movement in the foot steps..?
i agree with Ian, the end of the car is creating a bad sort of tension. but the extreme depth of field i believe works well with what you are trying to convey. I love the houses in the background. everything in the frame is working, and has a time period feel. i think this is an effective reproduction of what could be in a photo album.
I agree with Ian, but I'm also wondering if that will be such an issue after you've done some deterioration to the image. I like the style you are going for so far!
I question her position. Are there many snapshots where someone is just sitting in the snow like this? It looks like it was posed by a photographer rather than a moment captured by someone with a camera.

why you have the houses in the background in focus?
Would it be more effective to put a selective focus on Steph? 2.8 or 4 vs 22 or 16?

Wish I could see the back end of the car.
