Hey web savvy people: what's the deal with the colors on this blog? I never really noticed until I saw the image of the girl's arm with hair comb on Adam's website vs. his blog post.
Is it just my browser? I run safari...I realize most use firefox.
Hey Bek, You're not the only one to notice this, in fact I'm having this issue with the images I post at my internship every day! On PC's the enlarged images show up totally de-saturated, but the thumbnails look great due to the color compression. But on FireFox, (sometimes Safari) and Internet Explorer on Mac's the images look great. Sometimes when I post images and then try to check them on Safari too, they tend to not show up right away. It's the weirdest thing! I can't explain it and I've even asked the tech here at MSU that helps with our website and running the programming about it and he doesn't know either. Some odd technological thing.
Facebook sucks colors, too. I don't get why certain platforms will change your screen's color/white point readout when you're using A. the same screen and B. using the same browser for both platforms.
Do websites imbed specific color profiles into their code?
Are you saving your images as sRGB? If you use the save for web option in PS it should help you get better results. You could also try using Fireworks- it comes with Dreamweaver
I do save as sRGB, but mostly I'm wondering why Adam's two images (and lots of other peoples') look so different based on which site they're posted on. I'd guess he isn't assigning two different profiles for the same image -- one for the blog and one for his website...
Then again maybe he is. I'm just trying to figure it out why colors seem to always look like crap on the blog.

I'm probably thinking about this all wrong.
