Digital or Film?

These are two images for my final for 260 intro to color class. I am unsure with what format to use. The top image was taken with the Mamiya, and the bottom with 4x5 Kodak portra NC 160 film. What are your thoughts?

the digi mamiya. you have a nice range of tones and you are retaining much more detail. the reds are way saturated and blocked up with the kodak.. what ever you choose this project is still awesome!

thanks everyone for the opinions. Cam, i agree, i feel that the mamiya image displays more detail, and ultimately is my deciding factor. These images are unedited, so i can possibly up the saturation on the mamiya image.

Just do a 3f scan on the imacon and you should be able to retain a broader range of tones

Since this is controlled lighting, digital will be just fine I think. You don't even need the 10-12 EV of a medium back... a 12-bit raw from a digital rebel would look just as good if post-processed properly. Try shooting one or the other and not telling anyone, and watch them not be able to figure out either way. Unless you want to shoot film for posterity, that is :)
