Polaroid Alternative Process

Photographer Joanne Warfield does Polaroids in Alternative Process. She calls them "Polaroid wet negative prints". Very strange, but interesting work. Her "Mythology" series is worth checking out. (The image above is just a teaser.)

Dean's Office / Photo Search Committee

Please do not call Dean's Office of Arts and Architecture about the current photo hiring decision. The Photo Search Committee decides on this and we will know the outcome soon enough.

The top image is the catalyst to my project, it was shot over three days in italy, the next is the first i have done here shot over about 2 hours while the sun went down.

Anarchists at the Democratic National Convention

Check out this video by photographer Tim Hussin. See his website and also his regularly updated blog for incredible images.

In the video Tim combines still images, audio, and video for a unique view of the anarchists protesting at the DNC.

Tim recently won NPPA's 2008 College Photographer of the Year award with an image taken during an anti-war protest, also in Denver.

Book Project

Gray Cards etc.

So here is a good explanation of Gray cards from Steve. As if there isn't enough confusion already.

these are a few more images that i took this last weekend in hylite with my pinhole. There is an obvious spot on the first image that was flashed when the film was not rolled tight when remove but my question is has anyone ever seen those red bands before. any input would help, it was developed at F-11. also let me know what you think of the images aside from the obvious red bands.

CHAMPION Magazine

So for those of you that haven't heard, I was chosen to be featured in the NCAA Champion Magazine. This self-portrait was chosen to be the cover. It took a lot of work, but I was very pleased with the outcome. 

Upheaval Fine Art Show and Sale

Upheaval Art Show and Sale applications are now available at the Office of Student Activities. You can enter up to 20 pieces and only costs $5 to enter the show. Applications are due March 11 and the show is March 31-April 2, 2009.

Project

So I've started a PayPal project and am kind of curious to see what becomes of it. I started up a blog for it here. It's called Faith in Fame and gives people the opportunity to tell me what to photograph and I send them an original print, then delete the file so they have a one of a kind image. I've already had a couple orders since starting it this morning, which was unexpected, but exciting none the less! Check it out and tell me what you think! Faith in Fame

C41 processing

I am mailing film out Monday for processing in Rochester, NY. $8 per roll 120 and $3 per4x5 sheet. If anyone wants in send me an email. I plan to send it out first thing priority mail. Should have it back Saturday I imagine.

Sensor Dust

I JUST discovered some nasty sensor dust on my digi.  this is the first time i have had a problem with this.  any suggestions as to how i should take care of this. a simple cleaning kit perhaps or do i need to take it somewhere, and if so how much is it going to cost.  I hope to remedy this ASAP. i would appreciate your feedback. Thanx!

More cell pics

So what do you all think of these pics for my advanced color cell phone pics project? I've been doing some shooting but am trying to figure out whether to do full portraits or show some variations and I like these two detail shots, and actually kind of like how they go together, but was wondering if anybody else finds this work interesting so far.
