4x5 Color Film Send-Out

Okay, so if anyone has 4x5 color film they need sent out to be developed I'm sending about 20 sheets or so on Thursday morning this week to Ian's guy in New York. Let me know soon and if you plan to send out you must have your film to me by Thursday morning at 9:00am because I'll be mailing it out by 10:00am. Email me or comment back. amacguy_04@hotmail.com

so heres some more...does the relative sharpness in these compared to the images below bother you? also what about being aware of the black background in these versus not seeing any background in the ones below? also about about the images with faces in them; i wanted to use a photo in each series that would establish some kind of identity that people can actually relate to and then follow up the other close ups....so seeing that much of the face is bothersome to most of you then?...theres always the crop tool i suppose....

Quite the interesting morning here in bozeman....

MSU ALERT:

"Please avoid downtown Bozeman. An explosion at 215 E. Main has destroyed a building and caused a large fire. Authorities have evacuated a 2-block area."

Here is a picture of it.

They say it was a gas explosion of some kind...the R-Bar and Boodles no longer exist.

so these are a few more im working on at the moment. i cant decide how much the softness/grain in a couple of these bothers me (as opposed to the slightly sharper ones) so speak up.

Everyone seemed to prefer the backs of billboards, so I kept that in mind while driving to Missoula this last weekend. What do you guys think?

Forever Families - Stories of Adoption

I photographed another family this past weekend. They have five biological children and have adopted two boys from the Philippines. These are the four children living at home - all of which are home schooled. I photographed the biological daughter and the older adopted boy together because they are very close - in age but also emotionally.This was my first visit with this family, so as I mentioned in Portraiture, the second visit is when I usually get the most successful images. I'm trying to be more aware of how the background plays into my composition. Please let me know what you think of these. Thank you!

Digital Self

Ok guys these are what I have so far for my digital self project. It is about my mother, and my fear of becoming her. The first one is this ironic look at the ideal housewife. The second is getting pregnant and feeling trapped. The third is me as a child having this need to imitate her, the way that I idolized her as a child. I duplicated the images and mirrored them to show this connection I have with her whether I want it or not. I love some feed back!!

Hey guys some people have informed me that they prefer these composites uncroped. please let me know what you think!

Portraiture Project

These are all digital images I made to see how I want to use these spaces. I have made a couple 4x5 exposures but I am still working with the people in the spaces. The top image will include two other women, the principal and the clerk, but they have been gone for a while. This is the window visitors are welcomed at, so I liked the framing. The next two are photographs of the kitchen manager and will include her assistant, but she happened to be out also. The last photograph is my 6th-8th grade photography class. I would like critique on everything, especially how I am using these spaces since there will be more people involved in the final image. Thank you.

SIGNS OF BOZEMAN

Okay, so here a few more of my signs that I've been photographing for Adv. Color. I have more daytime photos as well, but I only included one here. I would just like to know what everyone thinks about cropping, and if the blurry image works? I'm sort of leaning more towards the night time images, but I'll try and get more daytime up for your opinions. Thanks everyone :)
