Free Film
For those of you who might be interested. A previous student that I know has several boxes of 4x5 B&W and 8X10 B&W film that he has had and won't be using any time soon. It is all either close to its experation or just past it, but he has kept it in his frezer since he got it, and it is Free. He just doesn't want it to go to waste, so if you would like it or are interested let me know. I believe he has at least a box of each.
Thanks,
LeAnn
Advanced Digital Abstract Project
Here are some of the first images from my Advanced Digital project. I'm making abstract photographs where form and color are the dominant subjects. I think I've decided to make this more conceptual by photographing within the "blighted" district of Bozeman. Also, since Uta Barth is one of my influences on this project, I hope the final project (in book form) will cause the viewer to consider the beauty of the image and the perception of an area labeled as "blighted". I hope to find the boundaries of what has been labeled as such so I can try to make one image on each street. That's just a thought for now.... any feedback on the images is appreciated. Also, I'm having trouble deciding how much blur to use so I've included duplicates of two images with different amounts of blur. More...or less blur?
Summer of Hope Portrait Project
Here are some of the first images from the first family I'm photographing from the Summer of Hope Project. I plan to go back again to get some better portraits so hopefully the boys will feel a little more comfortable around me. The boy next to the computer is their only biological son and he's also the youngest of the bunch. The other two individual images are of the boy they adopted from the Philippines. The photograph with all four of the boys shows the other two kids they have adopted from Russia. I photographed them all together on the couch in the living room because this is where they all spend their time together. The boys aren't allowed to have much "alone" time, so they tend to congregate in this room. Any thoughts or comments are welcome. Plus, I plan to convert these to b&w...any suggestions on the best way to do this for the best results?
