Center for Fine Art Photography- Edgy Show

Cale and I got into this! Woo hoo!

A Little Christmas Cheer for Cold Winter Nights

Our neighbors in Livingston had a pretty impressive display of Christmas lights and lawn decorations for a week or so after the holidays. It's always nice to have some bright lights to get you through the dead of winter.

I am trying to get rid of an unused roll of Epson Premium Luster Photo Paper.( 24"x100') If anyone is interested send me an email. ryan@ryankruegerphotography.com

Unwanted Sickness

Im working on a article for Non-fiction about being sick. I chose this image for the cover of my article and I was wondering some things. It the focus on the tissues distracting? The images was not suppose to be of the person so I chose to keep them in the background. Its more about being sick and the feeling of laying in bed suffering through it. Should I change it. Then the next question is, keep the exposure dark. I use the AlienBees to fill and make the light look like its naturally coming in the window behind the subject. I feel like the image should be dark. you don't sleep with the lights on, but it does look under exposed. Any other thought would help too. Thanks Exposure I wanted: Exposure for comparison:

Quick Manipulation for Cyanotype on Light Impression's Renaissance Paper
A long while has passed since I've posted, thats just wrong.  Well if you've been missing them, my insomniatic manipulations are making a reappearance!  I hope to make a new manipulation for each process in the alternative process class.  If you like what you see or have an idea you would like to see in a manipulation on a certain process please let me know.

And now something completely different...

I photographed some promos for the band Mistress and the Misters when I was in Spokane this week. You might remember their shorts...

{The Big Blue}

Here are some pictures I took with the 4x5 for Advanced Digital.  They were taken out in Logan where it is really flat and windy.  I really enjoy the intensity of the sky.  Enjoy!

Innova Fiber Paper

Here is the other fiber paper I found. It is cheaper than the Epson but have no info on this brand and do not know how it compares.

Epson Fiber Base Paper

Check out this somewhat new very expensive fiber base paper from Epson. It is meant to look like traditional fiber base paper with an apparently even higher D-Max. A couple of other manufacturers are starting to get in on the same game. hopefully the price will come down. The paper is meant to be used with Photo Black and K3 inkset.

LiveBooks|Edu

Hello everyone. I know many of you already have your own website but for those of you who do not I want to make you aware of a program called livebooks|edu through Livebooks inc. Livebooks is a company that provides websites for photographers. Basically, the program gives college students and educators the chance to have a livebooks site at a much lower cost. ($99/year) Livebooks sites are clean and professional looking while the software that you will use to create and edit your website is super easy to use. I have added a few links to photographers who have livebooks sites as well as the link to the program website and my personal site so you can get a general idea of what yours would look like. If anyone wants more info on this you can send me an email (ryan@ryankruegerphotography.com) or talk to me at school, I am the student ambassador for MSU. You can also use my promotional code (11478) to try it out for a month and then cancel if you decide it isn't what you want. Or even if you're just curious. They also encourage others such as art students, etc. (anyone with an image based website) to take advantage of this so let people know if you think they could benefit.
